The dashboard lights in my P38 have stopped working, I have tried using the rocker switch on the indicator stalk but still nothing. I can't find the fuse number for these, can anyone enlighten me please? ta.

Mine did exactly the same thing a few months back. I found that it was related to the HEVAC 'AUTO' button bulb that had failed. I took it out to find out exactly what sort of replacement I needed and whilst it was out, the dash lights would switch off and on of their own accord every now and then.

I think it was a connector problem on the HEVAC bulb unit.

I put a new bulb in and its been fine ever since.

Don't know if this will be your problem but it was for me!

All of them?? As in you are in total darkness inside when the lights are on??

This is usually caused by failure of the rocker switch on top of the indicator stalk, you could try removing the stalk and taking it to pieces and cleaning it up inside but I think its a new stalk otherwise.

Its been talked about a few times before over at RangeRovers.net and on every occasion replacing the stalk fixed it.

Thanks for the replies. It is all the lights on the dash, yes. The HEVAC lights up ok and the main information screen is ok. I'll take the rocker switch out this morning and have a mooch. Cheers.
