Hi,

I took a gamble and bought my 1999 TD5 in November. The gamble being that it ghad sod all history but seemed to run ok and the price was, shall we say.... right !
Since then I've done 3000 miles in it and have just returned from 1500 miles in a week in all weathers - Have to say I've been well impressed with it this far. The list of things to be done grows daily, but none that are terminal (yet), and all can wait till I SORN it in a few months time - Summer project type thing.......

However, yesterday the TC light, ABS light and another came on and stayed on. The ABS and TC lights cane in a few months ago but after leaving it for an hour or so they went off again...

Is this latest illuminaion likely to really mean I have issues in the ABS and TC area, or is it more likely to be an electrical / fuse issue ?

Cheers all.........

It sounds like you have "the three Amigo's", very well-known problem on TD5 - use the search and find tons of articles on it.

Many thanks guys, will be meeting my three new friends this weekend......

Just a little tip for you.

If your TD5 has ACE (Advanced Cornering Enhancement), then this could apply to you.

I was mucking about with the new-to-me 1999 Disco TD5 last week and found that if I took out the fuse no.15 from the main engine bay fusebox, all hell let loose, with the ACE light on yellow, plus the TC, ABS & Hill Decent lights on as well !!!! When replaced, the other lights went out again, just leaving the ACE light.

Good luck

Dave

So, if I were you I would check this fuse before I did anything else.
