Hi All,
Driving the other night with lights on(!) I noticed that the hazard switch and the three heater knobs were not illuminated. Question is should they be? The two fog light and rear wash/wipes were all lit, as were the three heater dials/ surrounds.
Cheers,
Michael.

Yep, they should. There are a few threads on here about sorting them. My hazard light switch illumination has just failed. I'll probably get a replacement switch from the local scrappy though as although you can replace the LEDs, it's a bit fiddly for me.

Thanks for that. How do you get the switches out?Although I suppose it does matter if you wreck it on the way out as you’ve got to get another switch anyway. ☹️

The heater control illumination is not just a case of replacing knobs I don't think.

Hasn't been discussed for ages I don't think, but there are threads about it.

I remember threads about it when I got the F1, but didn't fix it at the time. So start searching from about 2010

I think there’s a bit of confusion about this post, with regards to the heater knobs. I don’t have any problems with surrounds - the red and blue, direction or fan speed are all lit up as they should be.What I was asking initially (although I didn’t word it as well as I could have) was should the knob indicator line be illuminated. In my case none are so I’m guessing they shouldn’t be.

On a completely different subject, just watched this on YT:

An opinion on the state of EV and hybrids by Harry’s Garage. It’s only 18 hours old not something from years ago. Very interesting IMHO.
Cheers,
M.
