Have I ever mentioned just how good these Freelander diesels are? So good, I thought I'd mention it with a thread of its own
If you think about it they are the most reliable of all landrovers.
All drivetrains wear out eventually but if you keep an eye on the VCU then you'll be ready for it. Other than that theres no real issues with the diesels.
They are comfortable, easy to drive, economical, versitile, good looking and rust resistant.
Exactly Howardo, I think you've covered everything nicely there. We're the envy of the Landrover world - just look at the green with jealousy snidey comments we get from the non Freelanderers.

awe how cute.. the ickle hippo appreciation fred...
keep it dry though you don't want your doors to fall off and let all us big hairy nasty proper landrover drivers in..
Sorry fella but Discos don't count as proper landrovers either, they're closer to the defender than a freelander but still more of a school run wagon.
And how can a guy with an Alfa have a dig at freelanders?
Alfas aren't the most robust of vehicles are they
my car spends more time off road than on road.. getting fixed.. that makes it a proper landrover in anyone's books..
and the alfa.. reliable.. nooooooo but a damn site more fun than a gaylander .. apparently.. I'll let you know when I've driven it lol...
