daihatsu 2.5 n/a diesel conversion

hi has anyone done or know someone who has converted their landy to a daihatsu 2.5 n/a i think the engine is from an early fourtrack or f50 if so what are the engines like for reliability n power ive been offered one with all the conversion gear to fit my series cos im sick of my old 2.25 breaking down and after the last episode it looks like the crank needs a regrind cheers

I have just bought a series 3 which has daihatsu 2.5 in. Goes well but not mot'd yet. Previous owner said it. Was tough reliable engine and with the lt77 in there it regularly saw 80 mph!
