Deepest Darkest...
Dear All, just starting the refitting of the original 1987 wiring loom. Carefully inspecting, removing old electrical tape and apart from the usual previous owner bodges I've found exposed wires, brittle insulation and scorched/burnt insulation. Under dash wiring is in excellent condition...but it's definitely time for new engine bay looms.

Q? apart from Autosparks [though they'd be my default go to...] can anyone suggest/recommend a proper wiring loom supplier? Not Chinese grade Britpart type looms.

Thank you

You could make the engine loom yourself?
Look at the size cable & order some in.plus you can add relays in for lights
@Marmaduke will update you with the supplier he uses ;)(thank)

from font to rear just use 7 or 13 core caravan cable ;)

Thanks Phil, normally I would but am running out of time so just want to buy harness and fit...off to Scotland west coast + isles next month with roof tent. So much to do, so little time!

I think most places use autosparks but I believe there's quite a waiting list at the mo

Thanks Marmaduke, if long waiting list looks like I'll be burning the midnight wiring loom oil - will call Autosparks trow + have looked at some of the lower quality wiring loom prices tonight...they're sky high for cheapo Chinese jobbies.

Bought a chassis loom from Autosparks earlier this year (pre-Covid) for my 300TDi and it was over 10-weeks from placing the order to delivery, to be fair they do state this at the time of ordering and luckily I wasn't in a rush but I can only imagine what the waiting list is like now?
