Good Afternoon Gents.
I would like to lower the level of coolant while working on the auxiliary & timing belts.
When the upper coolant inlet hose is removed, would I be able to insert a small bore hose far enough to lower the level to below the cross front pipe & prevent spillage. Would be using a manual suction pump.
Just trying to avoid disconnection at the bottom.
Thanks in advance.
Mick

Yes. Just remove enough from the coolant reservoir to drop the level to below where you'll be working.
Alternatively just disconnect the hose you want, and the coolant will drain to that level and stop. ;)

Thanks very much for that Nodge68, the answer I was hoping for, certainly make for a cleaner task.
Love this forum, simple questions answered, as though someone is looking over your shoulder.
Regards. Mick.
