Alright ppl thanks in advance! My disco starts fine first thing with what was no apparent problems then later after work I would go to start it then at about 1000 revs it would judder ie misfire and bellow out white smoke which I’m sure is unburnt fuel so after maybe half a mile later pull into a laybuy stop engine for a couple of minutes start again and no problems? I had head gasket done last November and noticed yesterday when I was trying to fit a new crank speed sensor that the transmission bell housing plug was missing could this be part of the problem? Also I couldn’t get the new sensor fitted as the gap between thebell house sound cover wouldn’t moveenough and I lost patience any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hi, When was the injector loom last changed? Just wondering if it's breaking down when hot. Do you have acces to diagnostics? The hole you mention is probably for a wading plug.

Your right on the wading plug I changed the injector loom about 6 weeks ago I’ve put it in the garage for a new crank speed sensor today as it came up with fault code high speed crank sync lost hopefully that will sort it I’ll let you know how it goes cheers

Got it back from garage with new sensor fitted and still the same

When you changed to loom did you clean the plugs at engine and the ecu end? Any chance there is oil in the ecu? Do you have the old loom to try as a comparison? Checking the wiring isn’t damaged is another thing to look at.

Didn’t check plug but I did clean the ecu side
