Youngest D2 is now 10 years old lots have done lots of miles and lots of people assume they just go on and on without looking at them!
As with most cars now people generally do not check or service them regularly

My D2 is Twelve and a half years old only replaced rear air springs and nearside wheel hub from new 112,000 miles, and normal servicing , but a lot more oil changes than l/r recommend.

Technician, does that mean somebody that has a proper piece of kit to read the diagnostics, then start changing parts to eliminate the problem?
lol only joking,

Yes, normally changing all the wrong parts as that's what diagnostics said to change! Not look deeper and find the root of the problem! Lol

My mrs always complaining that somethings always needing done on my disco.....em yes dear thats why it never actually breaks down. She cant comprehend my attending to every small issue as opposed to her theory of leaving something to develope until its scrap :)

Aaaaah, now this sounds very very familiar. My wife does not seem to be able to grasp the concept of 'preventative maintenance' at all. I reckon she believes I like lying on my back in the cold and wet, smashing my hands to pieces on rusted fixings. Pulling my guts out and getting frustrated to hell.

Bless 'em,

Dave

Got to love swearing at the disco once it all goes wrong.

Money spent on goodies now being spent on fixing. She's missing out typically women

My TD5 has been very reliable sooo much better than the 3oo tdi,and considering I run biodiesel, maybe just lucky. It really is turn key and drive machine(probably regret posting that now )
