Hi all,
Iv got a problem with my d2 and I just can’t seem to sort it.
It started as side lights, rear lights and instrument lights intermittently not working now they have failed completely. Headlights and fog lights work fine.
I have changed the light stalk, checked the bulbs and fuses but still nothing ?
I don’t seem to have power to the side light fuses.
Has anyone got and ideas on what to check next as I’m totally lost on what to do next.
Thanks
Jim

At a guess, I would think that that is a problem with the electronic control module under the passenger seat, or the connections to it.

However, as I have now not had a D2 for about 3 years, I am going to leave it up to someone with more current knowledge.

have you checked link 13 engine compartment fuse box for power to lighting switch pin 3 a brown /green cable and then power out of switch pin 4 red which then goes to the two fuses feeding the side lights

I removed the inside fuse box today and I have power from the light plug into the fuse box but nothing at fuse 11 and 33. When I put a power probe on the fuses and add 12v the side lights work.
I have taken the fuse box apart and cleaned all the connections but still nothing on fuses 11/33

so you have 12 volts on C0583 pin 6 on the passenger fuse box assuming with the plug still connected and no voltage on either sides of the two fuses 11 and 33 ,you say you have cleaned the connections
is the fuse board PCB accessible assuming it has one to check for damage or dry joints pict's would be nice

I have power at the circles connector on the back of the fuse box, this goes on and off with the light switch. when I plug it in fuses 11 and 33 so negative reading ?! When I put 12v to these fuses everything works as it should.
so my thinking is and it may be wrong but I got power going into the fuse box via the lighting plug and nothing coming out fuse side so must be the fuse box ?! As for taking it apart I pulled all the fuses out and took the front and back cover off checked as far as I could see for damage and sprayed it all out with contact cleaner. Every continent could see was bright and shiny with no corrosion.
if you need pics of the inside of the box I can take it all apart again later.
Thank you for giving your input and trying to help.
Jim

Ok so looking at your very helpful diagram I may not have the correct plug, I will pull the box out again this afternoon
would be interested in pict's of internals but not at the expense of damaging the board also have you tried putting 12v on connection pin to confirm it's the board

Mystery I can’t thank you enough, after looking at your wiring diagram the problem is not with the passenger fuse box but the engine bay one. The wires are green and corroded in the bottom of the plug. Missed it the first time but after a wiggle the main power wire came out completely and the green and brown light wire followed suit !

That’s why it worked no and then wiggled it and lights come on wiggle it again and the off now it’s out all together. I guess I can solder them back in the plug ?

to solder them you would have to remove the pin to attach why not get a set of correct open barrel pins and if you have not a set of crimpers not expensive these days and replace all the pins on that plug so as not to revisit it later on

I did exactly that, all done now and everything works as it should.
Thanks again for all your time and help.
