Hi all
(i hit the search and found no answer ,so here goes)
I have a 2002 td4 and the ####ing boot has split on the back passangers side
Before anyone says lol the long bolt on the back of the drum is NEW and GREASED up to hell ,after the job i had getting the old ones out so i could change the bushes the other mnth there was no way im letting them seize in again lol
right the boot ,big job? pain of a job?
am i right in thinking its a case of undoing the large hub nut (loosen while wheel still on as will be torqued to hell im sure )
then pull the long bolt off from behind hub ,knock (gently) the drive shaft throw the hub
then just change ? is it that easy or is there something else ?
(my boots came with a cone so should make it a bit easier ,would you place boots in hot water first? )
then i need to change a front one too (my own fault some how when i did the bushes on the car i managed to split them both lol)
cheers
griff
