not that hard to do, as long as you have a few sockets and spanners, for the first time i would say 3-4 hrs job done parts should come to no more than £100-£150 tops, so save yourself £600 !!!!

I've just done mine. Factor in time and money for seized bolts corroded brake hose bracket, new ball joints (mine were seized). I had to replace the brake disk mud shields also and 1 stub axle

Ridiculous cost!

Its a fair bit of work but not exactly hard. Just lots of various sized bolts to undo.

Tho you will need a 52mm socket NOT box spanner + a torque wrench.

As above, not technically demanding, but expect some swearing. Bear in mind that there are a lot of parts that should be replaced along the way, hub nut, flange bolts, gaskets etc. Well worth going through the process in the RAVE and making a list. While you are in there you might also want to check your swivels for pitting and check the bearings for wear. Unless your sweeper seals are perfect I would swap them too.

I’ve just been quoted £900 for front half shafts and new cv joints on 2012 110! That’s for Ashcroft kit at around £650, then add your labour and vat!
Trouble is I’m no mechanic..........

Looks like I’ll become one?

It may seem daunting but CV swaps arnt hard.

Ideally need new brake caliper bolts - always use a 13 sided socket for these.
