Hi
So Landy newbie here. My 90 has a bit of drivetrain slack. Today along with my Haynes manual, I pulled out the front half shafts to see if any splines were worn. The splines on both ends of the halfshaft I removed were perfect (although the diff oil looks like muddy water). However the CV joint seemed a bit strange. I'm no expert and it is difficult to explain well, so I've drawn this rubbish diagram.
When the half shaft end is held still, the CV joint end can be rotated about 5 degrees. All I need to know is if this is normal. If not it is a contributor to the slack (it seems like it would be). When randomly moving the half shaft around the joint gets stiff sometimes too.
Sorry for the amateur question - appreciate the help.
