Hi All,

I noticed yesterday that my cruise control no longer works.

I turn on the master switch, and the light in the instrument panel does not illuminate.

I did try to Set the speed with the steering wheel control in case the instrument cluster bulb was blown, but this didn't work either.

The 10amp fuse in the under-dash fuseboard is ok.

The car has just had the front brake pads and the fluid chnaged, however I can't see that this would effect the cruise control.

The only thing that I can see on Rave would be to check the brake pedal switch.

Has any one seen this issue before, does anyone have any pointers?

Thanks

Dave

Pic below shows an arrow pointing to the auto gearbox filler. Below the arrow head is a pipe. If that comes orf or snaps yer cruise control will stop working. It goes to a thing on the right hand side, by the battery. Not sure what the thing does. Pic is of a v6, but td4 should be simular I would hope.

Hi,

Further to this i have notice that the cruise control work intermittently, some time it normal, other it just wont engage.

Thanks

Try it at 50mph. Not sure what the lowest speed it it will activate. Also keep trying the switch in case it's a dodgy switch.

Hi,

The lower limit on the cruise control is 30mph.

It seams that from a cold start, the cruise control works for a while. If it get put on, it stays one.

If its not put on, and you try and engage it later, i just wont have it.

(

The cruise phooters are under the drivers seat. Have a look for bad/loose connections and damaged wires.
