This is really puzzling me ! I have just fitted a genuine cruise control kit to my 2003 disco. The cruise control works apart from when you press the res button the horn sounds ! I have checked the fuses they are ok and the horn buttons also work correctly anyone any sensible ideas ?

Wired up wrong 
It's not possible to wire it incorrectly, the set/resume switch plugs in to an existing connector.
Both the horn switches and the set/resume switch go through the rotary coupler on the steering wheel.
This could be shorting between the two circuits.
