Had an accident yesterday,
Not my fault - Third party turned right across my path and I could not avoid him!!
Question is the rear track rod has bent so was not driverble. The o/s/f wing took all the damage and wheel took all the damage. radius arm was pushed back which has bent the mount and the chassis has a crease in just next to the mount where some bad rust has exposed it's self.
Write off or not????

The cheapest defender on auto trader at the moment is £1800 for a hard top 110 , as yours is a sw it's got to be worth more.
When you ring them don't just say you want more, get lots of evidence to show them why it's worth more.
Hope it goes ok
Exactly the thing to do. Get the other driver having sleepless nights and they will also apply pressure to their insurers to sort it out properly. My sister did this and got nearly four times the initial offer AND got her car back which she promptly sold on for spares. If you have the other drivers details, my trick was to threaten a County Court summons either for the full cost of repair or the difference between what was offered by the insurers and the repair cost. After the guilty party finishes crapping his/her pants, they get straight on the the insurers, usually with the result that things get sorted. If not I issue a summons against the driver.
No reason why you should be out of pocket of lose your vehicle for what is minor damage.
Could not have put it any better.Stick to the basics.
One moment you were driving your vehicle.
The next moment someone damaged your vehicle.
You want the other person to return your property to the condition that it was before their actions.
The other person has insurance for such an event. That is not your concern, if they wish their insurer to pay for the repairs then that is their decision.
If they had driven into your garden wall would you be chasing around getting prices for cheap, second hand bricks? Would you accept a fence instead because it's cheaper?
If you are not satisfied with the responses from the other person, or their agents, and your insurance includes legal cover then require your insurer to issue proceedings against the other driver. If your motor insurance does not include legal cover then check your household policy, it might.
If neither do then consider raising an action yourself and add these costs to your claim.
Sitting back and allowing insurance companies and accident management vultures to lead us by the nose is what they all hope that you will do. It's what their propaganda has lulled us all into thinking is the correct way to deal with these matters.
Your claim is against the other driver, he can claim from his insurers if he wishes.
Your insurance company is your paid agent and should do as you tell them.
Quite abit more damage than just a dented wing and light there anyway!!!
