Just recently feels like someone has nicked my shocks and replaced them with metal bars done a 300 mile journey and felt exhausted after. dash is shuddering, box of tools and spares jumping around in the back and two buttons fell of the radio very tiring on a long drive I guess my shocks are shot (britpart) any recommendations on shocks rather have a soft ride and lose handling not like they do anyway.

Shocks that have gone wouldn't cause what your describing (unless they somehow magically welded solid). I'd suggest you check the prop UJs and the rubber donut. Either that or you have a radius bush gone or a REALLY poorly balanced tyre

on smooth road the ride is good this is harsh over bumps and potholes not vibration.

Don't bother checking the donut then, just buy some new shocks. I'd recommend landrover standard shocks ...

N\s front shock action is a lot stiffer than any of the others took a lot of effort to move so new shocks on front and hopefully won't have to keep putting my radio buttons back on.dnut has light surface cracking so going to change as well seen kits with prop bush but can't seem to find a spigot anyone got a part number for this also confirm I can change the oil seal behind it as it's leaking

Make sure the arrows on the side of the donut point the right way, otherwise you'll rip this to shreds in a short time.
