Cracked Head Repairers!

Hi guys,

I have a cracked head on my 03 TD5 and am after suggestions and recommendations of who and where to go to get it repaired (otherwise a second hand head is lined up).

Any suggestions?

I will post a pic when I have removed it and cleaned it up.

Southampton - but I assume it can be posted anywhere?

I'm in Glasgow and have used local workshops in the past, best thing to do would be to speak to local garages and ask them where they send customers cylinder heads, there will probably be a handful of local workshops near you.

Well it seems I have more work to do.

Following a removal of the head, I am pleased to say that the crack seems very minor and only around the top section of the #2 injector seat BUT I found more problems and the cause of the real problems.

#1 piston has broken, bedding some minor bit in the head but mainly in the bore. I will remove the block and take it to an engineer to check, but I think I am now looking for a new engine.

Anyone got one cheap?
