Sorry folks but having a bit of a grey moment. I am looking at repairing a water leak coming rom the front of the engine and was advised to replace the O ring to the coolant pipe that connects into the front of the engine (Rave page 483, actions 10 and 11). I cannot find the part at Island4x4 so either I am missing it or they do not hold it. What is the part number I need to search for?

Also will replace the thermostat as everything will be off. Which one do I go for the LR genuine part (Ouch!) or the Valeo one?

Oem min. Is this a v8? Or doezil? On a v8 the stats are gates and cost £60. On a diesel I dunno. Don't buy cheap. Mine didn't close very well. So it never warmed up brrrrr.

For the orings, if you have the old ones, you can just measure them and buy them from most hydraulic suppliers.
You could buy a handful that are close and use the one that's the best fit.

Sorry thought I said that it's a diesel.
Wazz -Need vehicle daily so cannot strip the part then find a replacement.

JB - Island has 3 thermostat options, Britpart, Valeo £12 (is it OEM?) and genuine LR £38.

I am after the O ring in No. 11 of this diagram. I thought this was the part (LYX000140 in link below) unfortunately different dims for each item so may get both to be safe.

I get my part numbers from the Genuine RR Parts Manual - wasn't cheap but worth every penny - and it sits alongside the equivalent Workshop Manual publication.

Two large volumes that stop my desk drifting away and also that I can carry about and make notes in.

They are available for a lend Joss if ya needs them as you're only about ten minutes from my place.
