Has anyone had any issues with coolant leaking from Expansion cap?
I have checked all hoses and are fine. I have done a pressure test at 15PSI and all is well. DRove it for about 0.5m and temp gauge went up and coolant spurted out on front right of wing. Can any one please help a very frustrated individual.

What engine is it?

Could it be the head gasket has gone and pressurising the system while running?

The heater not working is the first sign of coolant loss. As the level drops the high position of a 300 water pump means it is soon empty and circulation stops. Temp then shoots up. Next the temp reading will fall as there in now no coolant in contact with the sender. Carry on driving and things start to cook. Seen pistons who's tops have melted

+1 - sad but true. The high position of the water pump is the main killer of 300's :( /  /  ...

It's worth adding the coolant level sensor from the RRC to any 300 engine "bus" to help prevent this happening ;) ..... That is, it will be worth adding same when you've fixed it this time  :(.

New gasket slap it on, do the inlet/exhaust one at the same time plus the rocker gaskets and thats it, no need to skim the head or replace the head bolts.

Also replace the P gasket as well.
