hi iv put a disco 200tdi engine in my defender and i tried started it an it started 1st time BUT when i rev it, it stalls? go to start it again it starts straight away? so anyone got any ideas?

I'd guess low fuel pressure chap...

well it revs a little then will splutter i little then die

Check, lift pump, filter did you use the correct fuel pipe? If you have used pipe that collapses when the lift pump sucks then it will essentialy shutoff the fuel, however on restarting it will have opened again and allow for immediate restarting.
