Please pray tell what is the point of a forum , is for idle chit chat of tom foolery , or is it may be to seek advice or seek the the service of others in the land rover no , to exchange the knowledge of your own meanderings or put forward the services of a more knowledgeable being , or to exchange tales of woe around the world an boast your exploits , alas these are all wrong , its to slag of those of us that thought the afore mentioned was true , Land rover community ? help your own i thought , get a yellow pages was the best advice your precious land rover community could come up with , so the world is wide an full of culture of a differant sort , racisism is not only the differance of black an white its who has a yellow pages an who does'nt , im not racist any more , edjumafied i became an stole next doors yellow pages so now i can be just like the ignorant masses, Happy holidays an many thanx , aaahhh praise the yellow pages full of poor nobodys waging there own private war .  :blabla:

It is a shame that a person, however inadequately educated, might allow themselves to be drawn into the trap of misleading and inaccurate grammar. Grammar is there for a reason. Where people are genuinely making mistakes, those of us with a little intelligence will interpret accordingly. However, there are occasions where such lapses are unforgivable. I present the above post as a case in point.

The use of the phrase "land rover no", is the starting point for this review. Surely the author must know that "Land Rover" is deserving of capital letters at the start of each word. It is a proper noun and by not using it properly he is deriding the importance of the marque. The word "no", well I am sure he "knows" what is wrong with that, however has decided to put the onus of interpretation on the reader.

The "Knowledge of your own meanderings". A simple phrase that has no meaning at all. My meanderings have no knowledge. I, on the other hand, have some, albeit limited, knowledge gathered from my meanderings.

"afore mentioned" is one word not two. I seriously doubt that this particular offender has completed lower grade literacy classes.

"so the world is wide an full of culture of a differant sort , racisism is not only the differance of black an white its who has a yellow pages an who does'nt , im not racist any more"... I have no idea wtf this is supposed to mean!

"thanx": I think this illustrates my point.

"private war", I do not believe there is anything private about this conversation.

Personally I find this person's comments to be misleading, insofar as they have tried to make the reader misunderstand their musings by employing ill thought out and erratic grammar, along with juvenile abbreviations.

Furthermore, while embracing the colourful rhetoric, and superfluous use of abbreviation that we have come to expect from other more northern (and possibly less than eaton educated) northerners, along with high school dropouts and text obsessed teenagers - we do expect a little more coherance from a residence of the "New City".

In conclusion

Mmmmmm. Nice paragraphs, pal.

It has been a while since anyone has complimented me on my paragraphs. Thank you for noticing.

I must, however remind you that no single word is valid unless it contains a vowel. Hence Mmmmmmemmm would be fine, or Mmmmmmummm if things are getting a little scary.

Mmmmmm, however leaves a little to be desired. I wonder whether you might "self moderate", in order that th OP can better understand what is being said.

After all, if his gramatical transgressions are to continue; it is up to us to encourage him into further study of the language.
