You can get a good rangie for about 4k. Take your time if you want one though and dont go getting the first one. I'm not that far from you, probably just over an hour. I know most problems that can happen and I could come out with you if you want

I've not had any major problems with mine (touch wood) but reading this forum, you get to know what to look for. Overheating is the main one. Get it up to temp and watch it. Smell for it running rich, easy one. Make sure it goes through all heights on the suspension. Make sure the aircon works. Everything is electric, so check fuses and relays. It is a pain in the arse, but if you check everything, then odds are on you'll get a good 'un.

Also, if you drive light footed, you could get 400 miles out yer tank. If you want LPG, that comes with it's own problems from what I've read on here. Sometimes it doesnt work properly causing misfires. It combusts at a higher temperature as well, which could hasten the worst case of a "slipped liner" as these are normally caused by overheating issues.

Start a new thread with the title "Transmission problem p38" and say whether it auto/manual and what year and spec it is will help too. Do a search first, chances are, you arent the only one who's had the problem.

Well ur such a friendly bunch folks thanks. how much does it cost to fill a tank of dielel these days my mums tank is nearly £80!!!

i would think around the same, are you now thinking of a 2.5? i dont know anything about it but one of the lads on here is thinking of selling his

Yup. £80 for a diesel, compared to £100 for petrol, and it goes about 150-200 miles more, depending on driving style. Gemsdad is looking to sell his once he gets the EAS fixed. Might be worth PM'ing him.
