Will this cause a constant drain on the battery?
Shouldn't do, the Fuse 11 position I think is only powered with the ignition on...to set Transfer Neutral, you have to place fuse, then turn the ignition to position 2 and the Motor should drive to neutral and stop, then turn ignition off and the motor sits there in neutral.

To regain Drive, remove fuse, then ignition on and the motor will go to High ratio once again!

No power with ignition off as far as I know - but going to check RAVE now just incase!

Presumably solvable by selecting low range occasionally? Or is it a separate motor?

Yeah switching to low range every now and then will keep it good. Only one motor, the fuse just puts it into a certain position.

oh ok
ive got a small push buton switch and some spade conectors
was thinking of fitting it to the fuse cover under the drivers seat that way once hes sat in the seat it will be the last place he would look
should only take a few mins to fit

Only thing been you have it on the Internet and you location is displayed and a picture of your Landy

Oh yea lol
Ill take my chances i think its better letting everyone else know of a easy kill switch that takes litraly 2mins to fit
Plus if anyone comes that knows were the kill switch is they still have to get the keys and its not like i leave them on the door step
And my 10month old malamute aint small.... or freindly!!!
