I'm only allowed to work from home 2 days a week :( but hopefully getting delivery of a modulator this week, need to see how things work out, maybe work from home thurs/fri so I've potentially got the best part of a week to do things

Okay dokey, wait for a shout off you then yeah?
To add, I'm retired so any time or day is fine and to further add, I can get to anywhere in North Shropshire in 45mins, Oswestry or Whitchurch so could pick up, test on mine and get it back in less than 2 hrs:D

Yea it's not far.. I've not been to Telford in ages.
Wish i was retired :( I'm to busy for this working lark

Right, so after a trip to @kermit_rr with my new accumulator to try on his, the results are in but I don't know what I should do next:rolleyes:.
My old accumulator on my 38- one press on the pedal has the pump running, bled it 3 times as per rave.
My new accumulator on my 38- now 2 presses gets the pump running.
On kermies it's 4 with his accumulator but 3 with my new accumulator fitted to his.
Duff??
I went to his in the 110, Duchess not on the road yet:oops:

I think Otto's was original (25 years) but no idea how long it had been marginal or duff.
Brakes worked well enough to pass MOT I suspect, and the fact the lights went out after coming on with a brake application instead of staying on probably meant they passed it.

That make rings a bell, I think they were the ones packing up in short order.

I dont know much about those ones they were put up as a cheaper option by a member who dont not like spending out on parts
febi is the standard bmw go to part manufacturer so should be ok, i just dont know about the fit (Edit looking at spec it has an m18x 1.5 thread and the original is m14x1.5 according to the RR.net post) but get roundable

All they are is a steel sphere with a butyl seal in the centre, with a charge of nitrogen on one side and brake fluid on the other..

An easy way to tell whether it is goosed is to see how far the brake fluid drops when the sphere is primed...

No pressure and the fluide will fill the entire sphere.. ;)
