Is the side light warning light illuminating when you enter the eka codeIt should flash each time you turn the key.If it doesnt then the problem is probably the micro switches in the drivers door lock.If it does then its a becm problem (expensive)

No nothing is flashing. So it must be the microswitches, is there anything I can do to get around this.

It really is getting frustrating. I have been locked out for a month now.

It could be the micro switches or the wiring, but you will need the door open to check.Sounds like its superlocked if you carnt open it with the door button up.Do a search re. forcing entry by smashing the lock ,it is possible with a hammer and a very long screwdriver down the space between the window and the door panel.Once you have gained access check the wiring from the door to A post and the connecter behind the cheek panel by the accelerator.Refitting the lock is straight forward.Good luck

Just read through all the posts, can you lift the door buttons on any of the other doors? If you can open the o/s rear door you can remove it and cut through the striker plate(about £15 to replace) to gain access to check the wiring and if thats ok you can change the lock.It would help if we knew where you are, there maybe someone close that can help.

I managed to lift the buttons on both front doors but to no avail. I will have a go at the rear o/s as suggested.

I am in West Cumbria just outside Cockermouth.

Well after consultation with the local dealership it appeared that the only way was to force entry.
Automatic centre punch deployed to bottom corner of drivers door glass and with some jiggling and fiddling I managed to reconect the rod from the lock which had disengaged.

I got the door open and charge the battery. So far I have not managed to re-sync the remote.

message to press remote or enter EKA when I try to start the engine. The EKA still won't enter. The side repeaters flash for the anti-clockwise entry but not for the clockwise entry. pressing the remote whilst in the ignition has had no effect. I suppose that this is now the BECM any further help would be greatly appreciated.

my mrs locked my keys in after accidenly locking car as she got out. luckily my window was open enough to get my fingers in. after a bit of brute force i forced the window down. do now need a new regulator though ;D

However will help anyone with similar situation when superlocked out.
But dont want all the P38's to suddenly go missing, although would then become rare and poss more valuable.
