We are having the springs changed back to normal and a silencer put back on as it sounds like a tank. it needs a new drivers door as the top frame below the window has split. Any ideas on best way forward with that? on the inside of the back door is a hole, any idea what should be there? sorry for all questions it is all so new and strange!Discovery 200tdi so my husband tells me. The chap bought it 7 months ago and has spent £2000 on it!!
I got carried away and bought my land rover impulsively but from looking at that photo you have done far better than I did.
Congratulations and welcome.
Remember bits will drop off but they can always be stuck back on and there are more than enough people on here to tell you how to do it.
They ain't 2 piece doors, they are 1 piece push button.Looks OK, will look better on normal springs. Try Paddock's or Craddock's web sites for starters for door tops, they're not expensive and it's an easy job. Remember to get all the bits (rubber seal etc.). It will come just painted with undercoat, you'll have to arrange to paint it in the matching colour. I bought mine on impulse after seeing it for sale standing on the roadside. Enjoy.

I bow to your superior knowledge of defenders. They ain't 2 piece doors, they are 1 piece push button.
Whole new door if you can't weld.
Hole in rear door? Just below the glass? Rear wiper.
