Nice one for the link Aarron. Now I know why she was hitting nearly 20psi of boost. ☺️☺️The silver box with the ecu is a boost modulator.
And seen as the ecu has a td5 alive sticker on it (Been remapped), who are now Alive tuning it'll be one of these.
Have a read and all should become a little clearer
Td5 Turbo Booster Module
Totally agree with all that. Not sure about the keeping her though. I have a tendency to do things like this and then get an itch to do something else. I am actually modifying a Vw T5.1 as well at the moment so I'm a bit of a gluten for punishment 😂😂It's a big investment, but if you're planning on keeping her for a while, a galvanised chassis is the way to go. You're already stripping her down, easier to build it back up on a good chassis. It will also improve the resale value if you do decide to sell in the future. Easier said than paid for, I appreciate!
Went and cleaned a few tub bolts up once I got home tonight and give them a good WDing ready for the next session but I must admit I didn't quier realize just how much crapp gathers up the back of the tub. I had bolts were I didn't know I had them.
Good idea 😩👍See when you finish your rebuild - buy a pressure washer and use it!
Trayback
wow, my old H reg looks like it's held up well in comparison. good luck for the build
