What would be the best diagnostic to buy please. I know to avoid the £20 enay ones haha
hi
@Nightsman32
there are currently around 3 x diagnostics available that are recommended
1) gap iid , have gone up to £500 but can be bought for £420 where companies have some old stock , this will do virtually everything that dealers diagnostics will do ( have one myself and highly recommended)
2) As mentioned RSW, use via a windows laptop , will calibrate suspension , around £150

3) or autel AP200 , can do a lot apart from calibrate suspension , basic reader , will programs keys £50
ref the amber light, sounds like ur compressor may be getting tired , with a reader can see the live data of what pressure the compressor is producing
here’s a chart of what ur compressor should be providing
Having a code reader with these modern vehicles is really a must , otherwise Ur just guessing
don’t keep worrying with what if as ur drive urself nuts , start with getting the codes read and if u need help there’s many here that will always help as u can save a fortune by doing the work urself
u can buy a new compressor for around £4-450 , sometimes u can rebuild them but generally is only a short term temp fix, hardest part is getting them apart
hopefully that’s put ur mind at rest a little
ps, good to hear the belts and oil pump has been done
