clutch!!!!!!

hi all, my mums freelander has started playing up, on tuesday she rang me up saying the clutch has stuck down and and wont come back up. anywho, got it home. asked how much a new clutch is in the garage..... not cheap. but iv been thinking is it the clutch. any advice would be grate, thanks.

poss the slave cylinder, try bleading system first.

You'll only be able to bleed it if it is a td4.

It may be the master cylinder. It's an easy item to change but rather pricey at over £100. Comes filled with fluid but you may still have to bleed the system if the quick connect coupling doesn't seal fast enough.

check under the engine if there is a puddle of fluid then it is the slave cyclinder

Hydraulic unit look on ebay about 80.00/100 quid.
You just replace the lot.
