Hi People.

I'm needing to do a clutch change on a 95' (M) 2.5 Diesel Rangie is there any guide on here or can anyone give any advise.

I'm reasonably handy with a set of spanners but would like an idea of how to and of rough time scales.

Many Thanks in advance

Many Thanks for everyones response.

I've found this forum to be very helpful and will remember not to waste my time asking any questions on here again.

Not everyone has time to sit at a pc and wait to answer technical questions,(for free) all the time.A little patience please,it would also help if you gave more info.A 95 my diesel RR could either be a late LH,(classic,300tdi) or an early LP,(P38,BMW 6cyl) so which is it ? The two are quite different.

I'd also like to comment here and say that maybe nobody is answering because <shock horror> nobody knows what your asking or can give any tips. Or maybe someone who DOES know the answer hasn't read your post yet. Just be patient, if you want instant answers goto the dealership or something

If its an early P38 RR then I would suggest you get hold of a copy of the RAVE workshop manual cd. This will give you lots of info on what you need to know.

Taking the gearbox out with out of a p38 with out a 4 post ramp and all the correct lifting gear is not advised. I have done one with my brother and bugger me they are seriasly heavy and orkwood. If you think you can do it on your own good luck. I will not be doing it again in hurry thats for sure.

I'm a new member too, and i just thought i would reply to your post. Firstly i would like to say i've found this forum the best i've come across, everyone has been so helpful and has saved me time and money looking for things that may just be a querk with the RR's. Secondly! you need to post more information about your problem, saying you're handy with spanners does'nt mean anything, i'm handy with a hammer if you want me to destroy something! but hammering a nail in to a piece of wood? ever heard of lighting never strikes the same place twice!!!!! Also, i know because of my dearly beloved lack of patience that when you've got a little project, thats the only thing on your mind and need an answer now!!! Take a deep breath!! planning is everything, it's not a five minute job, find out how much it would cost to get a major thing like a clutch done at a garage and way up the implications of doing it yourself. I mean how are you going to look if you have to take your RR in to the garage on the back of a trailer and a removal van full of nuts, bolts and parts!! i'm a woman, what will your excuse be!!!!!!!!!!!!
