Hi folks,
This has been a bit epic, ongoing drama of my clutch!
Engine is a 300tdi from an old disco (swapped in a year or so back), gear box is the r380 from the 1997 defender.
Basically story goes that the clutch started to drag, notably unable to roll backwards in 1st with clutch down. Gradually got worse and now can't really select gears when truck is moving, but you can when stationary with engine running.
So I've done:
- new master cylinder
- new slave cylinder
- new flexi hose
- new clutch kit inc release bearing and arm
- had the flywheel skimmed
- put in the longer push rod from the slave cylinder
Essentially whatever I do makes zero difference. Any thoughts? Is this actually a gearbox issue?
Thanks very much guys,
Nick
