clutch help

an old boy i work with has a series 2 nd the clutch went solid the today.got underneath nd the slave cylinder is leaking,but then noticed that the rod comeing off the gearbox that goes up into the cylinder looks like its been messed about with,its just got a bolt in the end off it goin up into the slave cylinder which isnt held in properly or doesnt seem to b long enuf. also shud there b a return spring on the arm as there is no way of it goin back up went the clutch pedal returns. pictures etc would be a realy big help

it sounds like a cross shaft pin has sheared, hopefully the outer one as that is the easier one to replace

get a genuine pin as they're surface hardened i think, bolts bodged in aren't up to the job

Its a fork 1 end nd then what looks like an adjuster then it had a bolt in it goin into the slave cylinder
