Looking for any body with a how to with the short cuts not on Rave My daughter is stuck in a little village in spain a 100 klm away from a main town with a mechanic only used to doing small jobs and who has never worked on a freelander,
My daughter is not afraid of getting her hands dirty and can use a spanner, So will be able to help him needs to be able to look at some sort of how to , a scan of a haynes manual or something like would be much appreciated , I have new clutch kit being delivered to her as we speak But am limited as to what I can do as am layed up in Hospital at moment
Hope someone can help.

PS youtube is not much help at all

Thanks Freddie

Thanks Jedi not quite what I was looking for but it will help .
There is a way to remove without removing the IRD only removing nearside hub and driveshaft and thats what I really was looking for.as there very limited NO LIFT and will be doing the Job on the floor using just axle stands and ramps.
If any one has a haynes I think the process is in there.

Well parts just arrived and there going to go the route leaving IRD , My daughter has found a Polish vid that takes you through the whole process without the bells and whistles that Rave requires, that combined with some youtube stuff she thinks will see her and the local through.

I removed it’d to do mine

I thought leaving the odd would make aligning the gearbox to refit very difficult with the engine still in the car

Some say it would be easier to drop the engine - this would certainly make the job easier but you need a hoist of course ......
