Hardy-Spicers on the propshafts?

What year is it? Did an orange light flash up on the dash with a clicking noise? 1999 onwards have traction control on all 4 wheels and it might be braking a spinning wheel at the front. Earlier years only had it on the rear (if at all).

Other possibilities are half shaft loose in hub (green Loctite might help), diff or maybe a bush worn or droplink snapped. Or even suspension damper snapped.

Does sound the traction control jumping in. More like a clunking from behind the drivers footwell. If the traction light lights up as well its doing it's job. ;)

Thanks all definately chain in the transfer box, located a good one less than 10k's from me getting fitted next week....cheers all kev

The Morse chain? Worth doing viscous coupling and all seals while you are in there. Make sure the output flanges are polished before putting the new seals in or it'll wear them away PDQ. From the Ashcroft Transmissions website:

"The Borg Warner rebuild always includes a new chain, output shaft, oil pump and includes new thrust washers and reshimming the center diff assembly; these are the four main wearing parts."

goingto put a second hand box in but gonna keep the old one to try to recon myself,im in western Australia so parts are expensive and rare, luckily ive got two p38's so one offline isnt a problem.
