Clunk on driveline

The clunking seems worse now than when it went into garage, making some awfull noise in 3rd and 4th gear.
I've rang the garage and they've asked me to take it back to them which I've now done but I've lost all confidence in them tbh

It was fine a week ago, they did have a problem with it at garage because they rang me to say it wouldn't be finished by agreed time as the drive has locked up for some reason??
They rang me next day and said it was all done and ready

It's turning into a bit of a nightmare now, they've had my Landy since 8am Monday,I got it back briefly last night and now it's back with them again

I'm having a complete nightmare with the garage that "fixed" my Landry ,still badly leaking oil from transfer box despite them having it all of last week,I've returned it to them agai, told it was sorted yet still it leaks oil badly from transfer box,I'm beginning to wonder if they've even fitted new seals to transfer box.
Can anyone tell me if the handbrake/lock drum needs to be removed to fit new seals to tansfer box? It doesn't look like it's been taken off

The truck is actually worse now than it was 2week ago when I first took it to them, making some terrible noises and I'm getting really fed up now having to keep ringing them and returning it to them all time

to fit rear seal prop, hand brake drum and then the drive flange needs removing, back plate and shoes can stop in place

Should those bolts at the back have come off to fit the seals or not James? They've not been off cos they've covered in ginger and muck and I've only driven exactly 6miles since I collected the truck

Transfer box has several covers/plates which carry gaskets/rtv. There are also the seals for the output flanges mentioned above and a seal on the input side of the transfer box where it is mated to the gearbox.

It depends on exactly what type of work the garage did to the box that would determine what seals are leaking to be honest. I recently did some work to mine and I had a leak from the shaft which holds the intermediary gears in place. I had to replace the o-ring on the shaft and the one in the housing where the shaft enters.
Why not spray some form of degreaser on the box and give it a good clean? Then, identify where the leak is originating from and maybe post a photo of that particular area so someone here can guide you in the right direction.

It sounds to me though that you have other issues besides the leak that have to be addressed perhaps due to poor workmanship on the part of the garage.

Thanks for your reply leftfoot
The reason the Landy went to the garage was to sort out the terrible clunk in the driveline, the mechanic said it was probably caused by the bearings in transfer box been worn as the transfer box was leaking oil
I booked it in for new bearings, new oil seals and all 4 new u/Js ,while it was in the garage rang me and said bearings in transfer box were fine and no need to replace so just fitted new seals . I asked ,if the bearings are ok what is causing the clunk and garage told me that one rear u/j was completely shot when they replaced it so it would be that u/j causing it.
I got truck back, leaks oil worse than before, got clunk worse than before, makes a loud clattering noise in 3rd and 4th gear and it was stuck in H in low range box and wouldn't move .
I returned it to them last Friday ,they've sorted the low range box issue but it's still badly leaking oil

I wish I had never taken it to the garage TBH
It's still going to have to have driveline looked at again to sort out whatever is causing the clunk but the problem I've now got is with new u/j fitted it will start to ruin them before long if I don't get it sorted soon and I can't afford to pay out any more money on it at the moment as it's already just cost me £650 in garage costs to be back whee I started !
