Evening all,
Its been a while since i last asked for help but just taken delivery of a very tired 3.9 Disco 1 auto amongst its many many fettles it needs there is a hefty clunk when i come off the gas in D.
its cold and dark outside at the moment and i havent even made space for it in the garage yet so havent really looked at it in the light yet but it was cheap and my 300 is dead for the moment so this is supposed to be a stop gap for a while.
I need to look at the stepper motor and sort out some relays, fix door locks and handles, give it a blow over with the spray gun, weld up the rear arches and generally give it a good service but this is my first auto disco so Im asking what i need to be looking at tomorrow in the light?
Obviously I will get it up a bit and check over the props and the diffs for slack and UJs but does it sound like an internal box problem (oil and filters first ) or is it common?
Any input would be appreciated.
