Hi
I am currently in the process of doing the egr mod so i thought i would remove the inlet manifold and give it a soak with oven cleaner.
I have removed it and looking into the engine there is a good 3-4 mm lining of crud in all of the 8 ports?!
Surely cleaning the manifold will only do so much when the engine is full of it? How can i get the rest of it off without fudging the engine up?
A quick response would be greatly appreciated and in the mean time i will start cleaning the inlet manifold!
Thanks
