Classic V8 Cuts out when cold

Hello All,
I have recently aquired a 1989 Classic v8 Auto.
I love her, but she has a tendancy to rough tickover when cold or wet.
( Car rocks gently from side to side )
She drives well when warm and may start and run smoothly even when cold. Very intermitant in her behaviour and stalls when you select forward or reverse,but the next time I start her up she may run smoothly.

Can anyone help?

hi fella mine does exactley the same but when warm hehe theres another thread on this by DC called cutting out when warm see if any info in there helps it may be breather problems like were having or poss somethink to do with the thermostat ??? only a guess but just check out the other thread
 
m8 am trying to find out so i can get this behind me mines an 89 3.9 v8 auto problem only occurs when warm absolute nuissance stalls at lights on low revs lol we`ll get there one day
