Im not sure if this is the correct forum to post in but.....

My Dad is disabled and is now not able to get in his car or the Series 2 LR. We have had a thought that a 3 door Range Rover would have a large enough door aperture for him to get in.

So is there any one in the Andover Hants area that has a 3 door that could pop round to see if my father would be able to get in before i buy him one?

Cheers

You’d have to try it out.

When my brother in law became incapacitated they sold their new RR as it was too hard for him to get in and out. After a few vehicle changes they settled on an E-pace jag, the 3 door has a long door and there was plenty for him to grab on to

From rough scaling in AutoCAD...it looks like the centre of the seat is around 33" from the ground!

Thanks Guys,

I will have a look at the Jag A-Pace. Although i can't seem to find one on the web?

Ref the vertical height. Its actually better for his infirmity. He has a problem dropping down into and then back up out of the car seats so the height of the Range Rover will be close but probably too high but i was going to solve that by using air to lower the car to the right height.

He was a Land Rover mechanic all his working life so a Classic would sit well with him and i would be able to work on it also.

The E-pace (sorry) was a brand new ltd edition. It’s the one that did the loop but a 3dr

Was lower than the (2016?) RR even though it had EAS. There’s a handle on the door frame and dash so he could get from the chair in AND OUT much easier - You could fit those yourself. They settled on a few in between but had to change as I didn’t work out as they thought, plus he got worse over time.
Try a few different types out before-hand is all I’m saying, see what works for him ;)
