Anyone know the Correct part number for series 2a choke cable, ordered this part last week but it does not fit ,599312 - Choke Cable for Land Rover Series 2A & 3 Petrol 2.25 | LR Parts it does not have big nut to fit on panel, after some more reading think its for steering lock or something.
mine fits through front hole in dash panel.
That is the cable for Series 3 that have the weird choke set up that is like a steering lock.

The one you want depends on what carb you have. Solex or Zenith I think you want an early Series 2a cable, if you have a Weber, the same will fit, but won't route very nicely.

For difficult parts, I sometimes find Craddocks are better, ring them up and ask about it.

I have Zenith carb, someone recomended this DA2126A - Replacement Weber Choke Cable (johncraddockltd.co.uk) but after googling number it only mentions Webber, so not sure.

As far as I can remember, the one for a Weber is a bit longer.
So if it is flopping about in an unsightly way, you can always trim a bit off the inner and outer cables if needed.
Could only find one of these for weber, it is far ti long so when I find out how it fits in to carb hoping I can just trim some off.

A previous owner of my S3 fitted a non standard choke to the dashboard so I have an annoying hole in the steering column shroud.
