the big round crossmember near the fuel tank needs a plate welding on it on the end where it sits on the chassis rail. apart from that it seems to be pretty solid.

Don't you usually just buy chequerplate in pre-cut sizes anyway? I'm sure there must be packs available ready cut for Range Rovers.
