I am not a big fan of chequer plate, but I have decided to at least do the rear corners on my 90 hard top.
The panels are very tired at the edges and could do with the extra strength and look better.
They arrived today, really good quality, £28 inc deliver off ebay, folded edges and black powder coated.
They are drilled and countersunk. I would like to use some M6 stainless screws and nylocks to fit them (probably with silicon underneath the plates).
Am I likely to get problems with electrostatic reaction between the bolts and the chequer if I do this?
If so whats the alternative?
Many thanks.
PS any pics of anyone that has already done this would be useful.
Johnny.
