Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how to visually check a front shock absorber (while its removed from the car) i.e. if its pressed in and out several times, should there be a slight film of oil appear on the chrome piston rod bit ? This is what I'm getting and its meant to be a new shocker. If I wipe it and press it in and out a couple of times the film of oil is there again.
I'm wondering is this normal or is the shocker faulty ?
Thanks, Dave
