After reading in here and having a nagging safety feeling that I try not to ignore I ordered some webasto lagging, a better exhaust (one that came was so crap) and have got some fire board from a trailer so going to do a nice job of if and rid the nag.
@Bobsticle was it only flattening your battery when you left it plugged in without running the car for a day or so? I don’t do many miles since covid and some days I don’t even start it.
I don’t really need a dual charge system - I only have one work light and that just gets flicked on whilst I’m packing stuff into truck at night
I have a split charge system and the secondary battery runs the heater, a tracker and the central locking. It’s a cheap leisure battery of 110 kilo parsecs or whatever they measure in but only takes a week to flatten without a run around. The week I work it’s not an issue but the week I only nip to the pound shop does it no good at all. Not that it’s a good battery you understand.

Whooooo. :)

Yeah! A demister jobby that screws on the top! After chatting with yourself and bob I thought I’d go belt n braces with the install. Now going to mount it on fire board with that heat wrapped exhaust. Made a intake out of a 300tdi rad hose too. Not only will I be warm, I will be able to see the traffic I’m supposed to give way to at junctions too!

Do they come in a pair? Go on linky...

I have not drove mine for a few weeks now but Mrs needs it as her cars going in for some work. May it a bag infront of the radiator to warm it up.:)

yes 5)36 come in a pair. I am ordering new hinges tonight. Sick of the draft on door. I’ve even installed carvavan gutter trim infront of the front windows connected to the gutter too. Even with brand new door seals it still leaks and can’t get a crease free door seal!

solar top up panel?

Plug-in battery charger when you aren’t using it? I plug mine in often to keep it in good order

I used a thin strip of foam stuck to the door where it did not touch.also make sure the bottom door seal is good
Drivers door alignment is shocking! I’ll spend another wasted hour messing about with the door when I get new hinges so it’s not in vein.
Hated it again today when I was driving it lol. I was thinking I’m gunna sell this thing once discos done

Youll be glad of a bit of air when you get the heater up and running. Jeez theyr hot

I’m all wired up. I’ve wired heater power to a relay and switch meaning heater controller can’t pull power when ignition is off. I haven’t got a second battery though. Do you think I’ll be ok starting the car then starting the heater?

I have my 24v lorry heater going for an hour some days before getting out of bed & starting the engine
As long as the battery is fine you will be ok.

Well, I dripped a bit of fuel down the line to speed up prime process then started up. Pump clicked as it should and I watched remaining air leave. When it started though, stinking smoke was coming out of the intake?! I shut it straight off and **** myself in unison.
