Chassis rot,

Hi guys,today on cleaning the rear end of my disco 2 i came across some rot, i have ordered two chassis legs,does anyone know where i can get a crossmember from? The one on it is solid so push come to shove i will recycle it , many thanks Tony

Feck, i do now, i put disco 2 chassis into search and only came up with the individual legs ,cheers anyhoo

Its a pitty that i ordered the two legs ,i would have got the complete set as shown but has allready been despatched so couldnt cancel, i will just cut the old crossmember out and re-weld, bit more work but hey ho ,cheers guys

Under distance selling regs you can just send the legs back for a refund - lose the postage both ways of course, you would have to make your own guess as to whether its worth it.

Yeah i had at look at that,they will be here friday but if i have to order the others its a 3week wait plus £20. Postage, i'll just use the existing crossmember,

You could always make your own replacement crossmember

Started job today after work,got it up in the air, removed bumper and tow bar,
Resume in the morning,fuel out then tank, measure where to cut and remove old chassis section
