chassis number history

Hi, I've just bought a series 3 lwb six cylinder petrol and i was told it was a council vehicle originaly and only has 42000 on the clock. could anyone help me with any history please, the chassis number is. 94100029A. any info is most welcome.

If its in good nick you've won a watch with 42K on the clock, sure its not gone round already?

I was told it is original, it looks like it might be true. maybe some old mot history would confirm this!
