A quick update ... She's been fully repainted on the outside and she looks great!!
I'll post some pics a bit later as it's still a bit dark outside, and I haven't had my second cuppa yet!

This is the best I can do because it's precipitationally persisting down outside

This was somewhere near the colours she had when I got her 10+ years ago. They havve also used custom paint mioxes which can only be duplicated by certain companies ... not Halfrauds!
The biggest difference is that the signs have been taken off, as I used her as a launch tractor and transport for a local charity which I am stepping back from due to health and time constraints.
She is well known to the local constabulary and they like the new colours!
Apparently, they say it is a good deterrent to would-be thieves!
And no, I'm not a Swede!

It's interesting that they were the colours when you got it. Makes you wonder if it was associated to anything with that colour scheme. Or, was it just the previous owners personal choice. I like it and if it were mine the only other slight change I would make would be to paint the headlight surrounds black because they look slightly faded and get black 3D lettering to go on the front of the bonnet. DEFENDER probably, but possibly Land Rover. I think that's a good looking Landy and the more I look at it the more it's growing on me. :)

The original colour scheme was that of the Marine Support & Training Service (MSTS), a charity based in Blyth, Northumberland, of which I had the honour of being a member.
I bought her because the MSTS couldn't afford one of their own, so I sold my Volvo and got this one instead.
She has been virtually rebuilt by me!

Mates rates, as Iain had just taken delivery of a full new set of gear and basically, all I paid for was the paint, thinners and flap wheels!
However, I did insist that he accepted a few beer tokens as well.
It's nice to have friends like that!! :D:D

I like that - looks good, and with all the work underneath, should last for ever

Love all the banter too - LZ at its best :D
