My previous thread detailed my BMW diesel engined P38 cutting out & the engine fault light illuminating plus other symptoms.
The fault has now been traced to the injector pump, not the cheap one in the tank, the £1500 one on the engine.
I have a workshop manual, changing the unit seams fairly straight forward other than the need for the tool to secure the drive sproket.
Presuming I could overcome this dose the new pump need to be "set up" using testbook? The manual does not mention this??
Please advise if you have change one of these pumps or have any knowledge.
