Changing light bulbs

Is it just me being a numb nuts or have LR made it as hard as possible to change the bulbs?

First off, head lights. First one that blew, it took nearly 3hrs to change. And then it blew 2 days later. Got mardy with that one and ended up just ripping the head light off. Problem solved bulb change in 30seconds.

Back drivers side running/brake light.
Apart from some numb nuts gluing the bulb in, how bloody hard is it to remove and replace the stupid little holder thing!!!

Not just Land Rover. Volvo XC70 nearly ended up with a hammer taken to it.

On a side note.
Non of the lights work on my center consol, apart from hazards and aircon.
Any idea why?

Bulb has blown , the 2 outside knobs on the heater control unit . Pull them both off and you'll see some screws . Undo them and you'll see where to replace the bulbs.

I've been surprised how much of a pain some of the discovery bulbs are, didn't struggle with the headlights though.

If you want difficult - try a MK4 Golf! I had a V5 and I don't know if the problem was specific to that one as it was full of engine, but to change a headlight bulb you had to unbolt the entire front of the car (crash bar, radiator, the lot!).

Replacing head lamp bulbs isn't that bad 10mins a side that's with removing and refitting my lamp guards, access to tail bulbs is a pain with the boot seats fitted.

Am I right in thinking you have a TDi 300 ? If so, it should take you about 2 mins to change a headlight and sidelight bulb together.

Don't know what you were doing for 3 hrs buddy

Tail lights however, now that's a different story if you've got a 7 seater.

With my headlights(300 disco) it takes about 2 mins to chance headlight & sidelight bulb. I just hit the bottom corner of the headlight and it pops out. Easy pips

was trying not to take the head light out. Until i found out it just pops in and out.
